There are few things more frustrating than getting a bad registration time or an unlucky housing lottery number. Unfortunately for this week’s Campus Celeb, the housing selection process was far from easy and left plenty of rising sophomores without on-campus options. Read on to learn more about how this celeb got involved in the housing process and what you can do to learn more about how it all works.

How did you become interested in the Reslife housing process: I became interested in the Reslife Housing process because of the #Reslife15 housing debacle. I did not receive a housing assignment and was placed into administrative housing, and am now living in House 1, which is Greek Housing, because of it.

Did you learn anything surprising or interesting at the recent Reslife forum: Yes, I learned many things at the housing forum. It was a very interesting interaction between the people who were upset with the housing process this year and the Reslife committee that was in charge of the process. The most important thing that I learned at the forum was that Reslife wants to do what they can to improve the system in the future and therefore people need to speak out and make the issues that they faced this year public knowledge.

Do you have any plans to get involved in the Reslife selection process? I hope to be able to work with Reslife next year to fix the problems that were made. After going to the forum, I have many complaints about the way the housing process was run this year. I want to be able to share their complaints with Reslife in order to make sure that they are fixed in years to come.

Do you have any suggestions for people who were frustrated with their housing selection experience this year: Share your complaints with Reslife. It is evident that there were many issues this year in the process and that things need to be improved in the future.
