Jamie Swimmer (2017)

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wash U chapter.

Does this cutie’s face look familiar? That’s probably because he’s the twin of fellow WUSTL sophomore, Allison Swimmer. A recent transfer student from Connecticut College, Jamie has been tearing up the South 40, making friends left and right. Read ahead and become enchanted by sophomore Jamie Swimmer. If you want to win this boy’s heart, just make sure not to call him “Allison’s brother.”

Major: Economics with a minor in The Business of Sports

Hometown: Chicago, Illinois, but actually Glencoe because everyone from the suburbs says they’re from the city

Involvement on campus: Trying to convince girls my name is “Jamie” not “Allison’s brother.” Oh, and Sigma Chi.

Boxers or briefs? Boxers and sometimes super cute Vineyard Vines boxers with little whales, mermaids, or hearts on them, all depending on my mood.

Dream girl? Jennifer Aniston. It kills me to see her broken-hearted in so many movies, like with Vince Vaughn in The Break-Up. She deserves better than that.

If you were on death row, what would your last meal be? My mom’s lamb chops. They’re dynamite. On a side note, I’ve never had a birthday dinner. I was born 2 minutes before Allison, but for some reason she feels that every year she’s the only one with a birthday to celebrate on April 17th. Needless to say, I’ve never picked the place we go.

Is your last name deceiving or are you actually a good swimmer? I need floaties and I’m scared of deep water, so yeah.

Your favorite pickup line? People call me “Wisdom” because I give really good girl advice like a modern day Hitch. I’m not a fan of pickup lines; I like being honest and forward with girls, talking to them in person or calling them. But my favorite pickup line is definitely “Hey, wanna see my pet fish?” True story, I have a pet fish named Poncho and he loves to eat and swim. Ladies, come check him out.

Ideal date? A romantic dinner and a musical. Lion King is my favorite but I’ve seen Hairspray, The Color Purple, American Idiot, Billy Elliot, Wicked, and The Nutcracker. So, I’d be down to see something new.

Netflix or HBO Go? I love snuggling up under the covers with a bottle of wine by a fire and watching some Netflix on a Saturday night. I’ll maybe even make s’mores if I’m feeling good.

If you could be any past president, which one would you choose? Bill Clinton. He’s a bro legend.

Favorite TV shows? The only show I’ve seen from beginning to end is Breaking Bad, but since I have two sisters I’ve obviously seen parts of One Tree Hill (OTH to us fans), Gossip Girl (I love Blake Lively, xoxo Gossip Girl), Vampire Diaries (problems with post-Twilight vampire withdrawal), and The Voice (because Adam Levine is the most badass Jewish guy like ever).
