I got my hair cut by Terry at Blackbird Salon last week, and it was an overall awesome experience! The salon is small, but well-decorated and very homey. I immediately felt comfortable in their waiting area. I was greeted by Terry where she took me to her chair and consulted with me. My hair is thin and needed a trim badly, but was terrified of getting it all chopped off and being too short. Terry listened to my concerns, but was still able to make magic work by trimming off the split ends but keeping my hair stylish and voluminous.

She built up good rapport with me as well as the client before her, and gave me her card, recommending I come back for another trim in 10 weeks (which was more of a personalized time frame based on my desire to grow my hair out).

There’s plenty of hair care products on sale, too, including organic treatments and styling products. Your stylist will use a couple on your hair and is available to make recommendations based on your hair type and the look you want.

Overall, based off one experience, I really enjoyed the service I received here. It’s hard to find a salon that tailors to your needs, is at an affordable pricing, and have a stylist who listens to your concerns. Most of us can relate to the fact that our hair is our baby, we don’t want just anybody touching it without showing the utmost respect and care. In that case, I would recommend Blackbird Salon! I’ve already booked my appointment for my next trim.
