6 Things Girls Who Love to Wear Black Know to be True

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at VCU chapter.

Going out? Black dress. Casual date? Black jeans. Gym? Black leggings.

If 75 percent of your wardrobe consists of black clothing, you will relate to this list. Because pink and pastels are not for everyone.

1. Finding clothing items can be difficult.

When all your clothes are the same color, finding that one black skirt can be impossible. You have probably destroyed your room on multiple occasions just because the only way you can find what you need is by texture and you therefore have to dig through all your drawers.

2. Brown clothes and accessories are the enemy.

While brown and black can be worn together, most of the time black and brown looks drab and unstylish when put together.

3. You are usually the most stylish person in the room.

Black is a chic color. It can look edgy or professional, dressy or casual. Because of this versatility, you can wear all black outfits everywhere and always look on point.

4. People love to comment on your appearance.

“Wow you look Goth today.” Have you ever seen an actual Goth person?? Black does not equal Goth. “Oh did you just come from a funeral?” No, but you are about to attend yours if you don’t shut up, sir.

5. Lint rollers are important.

If you own a pet or even if a friend of a friend owns a pet, you will find hair allover you all the time. Drake knows the struggle.

6. All your clothes match.

Black goes with everything. Enough said.

Most importantly, whether black makes you feel stylish, confident, badass or just plain cool, you are expressing yourself. Work it, girl.
