Ice skating isn’t for everybody but it’s the most fun when you have tons of energy and a significant other to hold hands with. It could even turn into a family event if you have relatives coming to visit you during the holiday season.

Richmond Tacky Lights Tour

The Richmond Tacky Lights Tour is an unofficial event for locals who get a kick out of wondering how much each resident pays for their electricity bill at the end of month due to how many tacky lights they put up. My favorite part is getting to see how creative residents can get with their decorations. There is no specific place or time frame for this event but if you visit the website listed above, you can get more information on how to plan your tour according to where you live in the Richmond district.

What better reason to take a stroll through the Fan when it’s super chilly out than the Fan District Holiday House Tour with your roommates? All proceeds will be used to benefit surrounding neighborhoods, schools and their collaboration with Richmond Police and VCU.
