Getting Your Caffeine Fix: The Best Lattes in Nashville

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Vanderbilt chapter.
With all the late nights, most of us need (at least one) cup of coffee in the morning to get us through the day. As a true coffee aficionado, here are a few of my favorite lattes in Music City:

Lumberjack Latte, Fido (1812 21st Avenue South)
Fido is one of my favorite places, whether it’s to study or have brunch with my friends. The lumberjack latte, which combines the tastes of caramel and maple with espresso, has to be one of my favorite lattes ever. It tastes like liquid gold.

Classic Iced Latte, The Mad Platter (1239 Sixth Avenue North)
Located in Germantown, this lovely little restaurant is a little far from campus, but the latte (and the fine food) is so worth it. Even though this is just a simple latte, it’s one of the best I’ve ever had, and tastes like ice cream when iced.

Flat White Latte, Starbucks
Yes, I know this is not unique to Nashville, but the new flat white latte from Starbucks tastes almost as good as any handcrafted espresso drink. Since it’s new, the baristas are still figuring out how to make it, but I love its strong espresso taste that is sometimes lacking in other Starbucks lattes.
