HC: What made you choose VSU?
Deja: I chose VSU because it is close to home, yet it’s not too close. I’ve always heard good things about the school, plus I love how pretty the campus is.
HC: What do you want to do with your major, and why?
Deja: After I graduate with my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, I plan to further my education in medical school. My goal is to become a psychiatrist. I’ve always been interested in mental health and the way others think, plus I really enjoy helping those in need so this job will suit me perfectly.
HC: How would you describe yourself?
Deja: I would describe myself as an extremely goofy person! I am ALWAYS laughing. I am a really loving person as well; anything cute or cuddly makes me happy. I come off as shy to some people, but I wouldn’t consider myself shy at all. I’m just not very talkative around strangers; however, I will talk your head off if we become close.
HC: What are your favorite things to do?
Deja: My favorite things to do are to cook and eat. I love food; everything about it gets me excited.
HC: What’s our dream date?
Deja: My dream date would be something my partner and I both enjoy. I am not a very romantic person, so nothing over the top. A picnic near a lake (or beach; I love being around water) with our favorite meals sounds like an ideal date for me. As long as we’re both smiling and enjoying our evening, I will be satisfied.
HC: What qualities do you look for in a guy?
Deja: The qualities I look for in a guy: intelligent with a genuine personality. I’ll coo over a nice smile all day. A good sense of humor is so important to me because I love to laugh and I definitely need someone who caters to my silly side. He should also be responsible and caring.
HC: Who is your celebrity crush?
Deja: My celebrity crush is definitely Ian Somerhalder (Damon Salvatore from Vampire Diaries).
HC: What would you do if you won a million dollars?
Deja: If I won a million dollars, I’d take a percentage of it and donate to various charities. I feel like it’s always good to give back. I’d use some of it for my tuition, of course. A part of it would definitely go towards my best friend and I; I’d take her to Paris because she’s dying to get there! The rest of the money would go into a bank account that I will not touch until it’s time for medical school!
