This week, Ebony Magazine released a stunning cover with Danielle Brooks, Chrisette Michele, Jazmine Sullivan, and Gabi Fresh. The cover is absolutely, drop dead gorgeous, and all of the women look great. Women are criticized for their body shapes no matter the shape or size. In American society thin women are praised, but I know that plus size women were all in the mirror feeling flawless after seeing this cover. Before this article goes any further I want to be clear, this is not a body shaming article, this article is meant to praise women who are often overlooked. This article is not meant to pit one group of women against another, it is meant to showcase what we are often told is wrong with our bodies. The term “plus size” sometimes has a negative connatation and is often used to shame women, but not today. This article is going to celebrate and thank the BEAUTIFUL and PLUS SIZED women that show us that beauty has no size.
