Meet UWL Student Jodi Chung!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UW Lax chapter.

Name: Jodi Chung

Year: Sophomore

Hometown: New Berlin

Major/Minor: Sociology and Psychology/Chinese

How would you describe yourself in three words?

J: Loving, Outgoing, Thoughtful.

What makes you smile?

J: My friends…………Oh yeah, and cute corgi videos.

What quote/motto do you live by?

J: I would prefer not to live in a framework of words but if I had to choose one: “Pizza first, friends second.” *Insert sassy face here*

If you could have dinner with one person, living or dead, who would you choose and why?

J: Probably Jesus. He would give me a lot of answers.

Where would you live if you were to move right now?

J: I love Utah, but I would probably say Prague.

What are your pet peeves?

J: Arrogance and loud and obnoxious chewers.

What would you love to learn before you die?

J: There’s a lot of things I would like to learn, but I would say learning a new language like Arabic and how to slackline would be at the top. I have always wanted to learn how to do both.

What age would you stay at forever if you could?

J: 23. I’m not there yet, but I have a feeling that’s an ideal age.

If you could give your younger self advice what would it be?

J: It’s okay not to fit in. When you get older it’ll get a lot better.

Is your life what you expected it to be from say 5-7 years ago? What would you change?

J: It’s most definitely not what I expected, however if I had the chance to change anything, I wouldn’t. It changed for the better.

Why did you choose University of La Crosse?

J: It seemed to have the perfect mix. The size and sense of community, as well as the nature aspect of the city of La Crosse and the abundance of cute coffee shops and the overall vibe that brought to it.

How are you involved on campus?

J: I’m the VP of the Sociology Club (Check it out, people!) and a research assistant for Sociology.
