College Life

What are your favorite courses you’ve taken at UVM? Any business course that Cats-Baril teaches. He’s an intense guy and loves calling people out, so know your stuff.

What is your campus involvement? None, but I’d love to improve the marketing club and/or add a social media club. UVM’s advertising, marketing, and social media offerings are weak.

If you could choose another major, what would you choose? Probably Entrepreneurship or Pcomm. I really wish UVM had an Advertising major.

Best study spot on campus? If I make it up to campus to study, I like finding a room to myself in the Greenhouse or Old Mill.

Weirdest thing you’ve encountered at UVM? Naked bike rides, Kornbread coming into our house on the weekends, the Occupy Wall Street protests on Church Street, the fact that our feminist organization on campus is called UVM College Undergraduates Not Tolerating Sexism (C.U.N.T.S)… the list goes on.

Favorite thing to do on the weekends? I’m usually skiing or going out downtown- skiing takes precedent.

Fun Facts

Favorite movie? Couldn’t name one- Catch Me If You Can, anything Judd Apatow does, and Wolf of Wall Street will be on my list come November.

Favorite TV show? Again, couldn’t name one: Breaking Bad, Sopranos, Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and South Park are my favorites.

Are you also a flannel fanatic like most at UVM? Definitely not. I’m not tryna look like a lumberjack.

Biggest pet peeve? Asking people what their pet peeves are, judgmental people, and people who are socially unaware.

Favorite season? Ski season.

Top 3 most played songs on your iPod? “Crosseyed and Painless” by Talking Heads,  “The Breakdown” by People Under The Stairs, and “You Enjoy Myself” by Phish (I know, classic UVM).

What is one strange thing about yourself that most people would never guess? I’m not too strange, but I can cook really well and play guitar (not as well as I can cook).

If you could have one superpower, what would it be? I think being a Harry Potter-esque wizard would be cooler than any one super power.

You’re stranded on a dessert island and can only bring 3 items. What do you bring? A fully loaded yacht, a guitar, and all my friends.

What’s the craziest thing you’ve done this summer?  I’ve had a summer-long crazy experience working and living in Chicago, a city I’ve never been to before.

Love Life

What would be the perfect first date? Going on a chairlift, dinner and drinks, or just a date that ends with mutual hope for a second date.

Biggest turn-on? When a girl approaches me, I believe in chivalry when it’s due, but don’t be afraid to introduce yourself.

Biggest turn-off? Girls who can’t hold a conversation, girls who don’t give you the time of day, and ugly attitudes.

Sweetest thing you’ve ever done for a girl? For the right girl, I’ve done a lot. Cooked dinner, written letters, sent flowers and gifts. The whole nine yards.

If you were serenading a girl, what song would you sing? I can’t sing to save my life, but I’d sing “Waste” by Phish, it can definitely woo a lady.

Who’s your celeb crush? Taylor Swift.

Any tips for the single kids on campus? Stay thirsty, my friends.
