Winter Must-Haves for $30 or Less

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UVA chapter.

Winter is coming! This means it’s almost time to play holiday music all day and to order peppermint everything. But it also means that cold weather is just around the corner, (even though it seems too warm with the recent sunshine). Wondering how to beat the chilly temperatures in a chic way and without breaking the bank? Check out this guide so you can stay stylish and warm at the same time.

Head to toe warmth starts at the top, so a hat is a must. Knit hats are classic and back for another season, like this beanie; it is a little edgy and adds a pop of color to any outfit. Think berets are out of style? Think again! This French fashion piece is having a comeback and you have to be a part of it. It will make you look polished, chic, and not at all like you just rolled out of bed for your 8am.

When not sipping a peppermint mocha, keep your hands warm in style. Check out this pair from The North Face. Perfect for those on the go–the material allows all five fingers to work on your smartphone’s touchscreen without having to take your gloves off.

Looking for something with a little more flair? Try these hedgehog mittens for an adorable outfit addition sure to grab attention.

What is something everyone needs a pair of? Killer ankle boots. They are easy to dress up or down, depending on where you are headed, certain to keep you in style for class and for going out afterwards.

Every pair of boots needs a pair of boot socks. Check out this cute, knit pair with buttons and a lace trim.

Don’t forget about your toes! Keep them cozy with these seasonal fuzzy socks. They come in a pack of two, so save one for yourself and share the other with a friend!

Chapstick; the most essential winter accessory in my opinion. Keep your lips moist and in season with this minty, organic balm. All ingredients are natural, many are certified fair trade, and it is not tested on animals.

Hope this helps you stay cozy and cute this winter while saving you money so you can treat yourself and your friends!
