Dancing with the South Florida All Stars

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at USFSP chapter.

On Monday, November 21st, Her Campus was invited to come and talk to the South Florida All Stars before their big event “Dancing with the All Stars.” Guests packed the place – volunteers for the event had to bring in extra chairs in order to seat every attendee. Her Campus members quietly made their way through the crowd to film each dance routine.

The event consisted of a competition between four teams, each made up of a pair of partners. Miranda Kasher explained the dance battle best.

“The event is basically all the new South Florida All Stars: (They) are being paired up with a pro staff or student staff (member) and we are dancing together,” Miranda said.

Each team had the chance to talk about the inspiration behind their song selection. Their dance routines paid tributes to the likes of Aaliyah, Missy Elliott, Nicki Minaj and Christina Grimmie.

Team Jerrica and Hannah took home the gold with their dance to Nicki Minaj’s “Super Bass,” which included the use of multicolored wigs and stiff Barbie-like motions.
