Recently, I found out that I have the amazing (and totally useful for the real world) skill of binge-watching shows on Netflix (binge-watching is when you watch multiple episodes of a show at a time). This has prompted me to share with you my list of the best binge-worthy TV shows on Netflix. Let’s begin!

#1- Parks and Recreation

Parks and Recreation is the TV show that made me discover my talent of binge-watching. I’m not going to lie, when I watched the first couple of episodes, I didn’t really get the show, but once I got hooked: I. Got. Hooked. The cast (Amy Poehler, Chris Pratt, Nick Offerman, etc.) is absolutely phenomenal and I think the writers for this show are extremely talented and witty because the lines these characters have are genius. I usually don’t laugh out loud when I watch TV shows or movies, but this show is the one exception. I guarantee you Ron Swanson will become your spirit animal. The only sad thing about this show is the episodes are only 23 minutes long; maybe that’s why I finished seven seasons in just one month.

#2-Grey’s Anatomy

Grey’s Anatomy is my current addiction. To say that I am obsessed is an understatement. I have watched 35 episodes in seven days. That’s five episodes a day; five beautiful hours of Grey’s Anatomy that I watch every single day. There are 11 seasons of this show so far (Season 12 is airing on TV right now), and each episode is one hour long, so if you decide to choose this show as your binge-watching show, you might as well say goodbye to your friends and family now! There is so much drama in this show: passionate relationships, love triangles, deaths (all.the.time.), tearjerker stories of patients, etc. To all my ladies out there, Patrick Dempsey (who plays Dr. Shepherd) is McDreamy (that’s his character’s nickname) and McBeautiful and McMyFutureHusband, so you will definitely have eye candy with this show as well.

#3: Gossip Girl

Gossip Girl is one of my favorite shows to binge-watch on Netflix. Not only does it have major eye candy, loads of drama, and super cute relationships to root for (like Chuck and Blair), but the fashion in this show? Ridiculously amazing! This show is definitely for all my fashionistas out there.

#4: Making a Murderer

This show is for all my murder mystery lovers out there. This is one of Netflix’s new documentary shows and basically the show details the murder trial of a man who previously spent 18 years in prison for a rape crime he did not commit. About two years later, just as his life is getting better and he is close to winning a lawsuit against the county that unjustly imprisoned him, he is arrested for murder. The show documents the trial from a point of view that implies he is being framed again. The documentary is trying to bring awareness to some of the inadequacies of our legal system in order to bring justice to all.

#5 Jane the Virgin

And finally, the last binge-worthy show on Netflix I urge you to watch is Jane the Virgin. I actually have not seen this show yet, but I got a glowing review from one of my friends and it was such a good review, I had to add it to this list! This show is about a girl named Jane who accidentally gets artificially inseminated (yikes!) by a (cute) guy, and to make it all worse, she is engaged to another (cute) guy (double yikes!). My friend says there are a lot of unexpected plot twists and suspenseful cliffhangers at the end of each episode, so you’ll never get bored with this show.
