Managing Your Time…The Busy Girl’s Guide

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at USF chapter.

Parties, homework, “chill” time, and classes quickly fill up the weekly schedules of college students. As the semester moves forward it becomes imperative that we learn to manage our time, no matter how dreary it may be. It may seem impossible, but it can be done!

Planners are a busy girl’s best friend. They come in a myriad of layouts, prices, and patterns and who doesn’t love another fashionable accessory? Now that you’ve taken your first step to becoming an organized, successful woman gather any syllabi, calendars, and emails with important dates and write them down in your fabulous planner!

If you’re like me and often forget things as soon as you hear them, sticky notes are a great way to manage your time! Keep some on your desk and in your bag so you can post them to your bathroom mirror, on your fridge, and anywhere else you walk by. They are a cheap way to remind you to go to the grocery store Wednesday and wake up for that painful 8:00 a.m. class on Monday.

Cell phones: our right-hand man, means of communication, and now another way to keep track of your time! Whether the Calendar app, Reminders, or even the Notepad helps you, your events, deadlines, and relaxation time will all be written down and easily accessible throughout the day. Now you have time to sneak out and grab Chipotle or take a catnap!
