Kadie and Amber Rolfzen graduated high school in December of 2012 just to come to UNL to begin practicing with the volleyball team for the Spring semester. These two volleyball super stars are known as the Twin Towers. Check her and her sister out on the court this Spring!
Meet Kadie Rolfzen.
When did you and your sister decide you wanted to come to UNL?
Well, we verbally committed in eighth grade, but in sixth grade we took a survey about where we wanted to go to college, and we both put down Lincoln. It’s really every volleyball player’s dream to come here.
What are you involved in on campus?
Well I just got here, so right now just volleyball and some outreach events.
Who’s your idol?
Volleyball-wise it’s Jordan Larson, and life-wise it’s my sister.
When did you start playing volleyball?
Fifth grade
What’s your favorite part about playing volleyball at UNL?
That’s a tough one, I think it’s probably just being a part of a team, knowing that you have all these other people around to help make you better.
What’s your biggest volleyball accomplishment?
I guess still being able to follow my dream path, I’ve never really had any set backs.
What are your future goals?
Volleyball-wise I want to play professional volleyball overseas and go to the 2020 Olympics. Life-wise I want to be a graphic designer at Nike.
Do you and your sister compete against each other on the court?
No, it’s more like if she does something good, I want to be able to do that same thing.
