Most Popular Spring Break Destinations 2016

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UNL chapter.

With Spring Break less than a week away were all asking each other about our plans for the week and getting excited for the spring get-away! From talking with other students about their plans for the week here is what have to be the most popular destination spots of 2016.

1. South Padre, Texas

Although when someone says they are going to Texas the first thought that comes to mind isn’t a tropical oasis, they actually have plenty of nice coasts to go enjoy the warmer weather. One of these is South Padre, where thousands of college students are bound to be having more than a good time.

2. Colorado

There are so many great places to enjoy in Colorado— whether in the big cities like Denver or hiking on trails and enjoying the nature. You can’t narrow it down to one, and students haven’t as they plan to go from Colorado’s notoriously beautiful views like Garden of the Gods and Pike’s Peak to wandering around the cities or lodging in cabins.

3. Chicago, Illinois

This metropolis is teeming with culture and great shopping venues. Perfect for the spring breakers who would rather spend their time in the big city. Going to Chicago means endless options of how to spend your night, whether that’s going to a concert or the bars you can’t go wrong.

4. Daytona Beach, Florida

Known as one of the biggest Spring Break destinations in the country you can’t go wrong at Daytona Beach. Warm weather, sunshine, and a whole lot of similar minded vacationers means you’re bound to have a good time.

5. Cancun, Mexico

Although the plane tickets may be a little more pricey there is no doubt this vacation would be worth it. Cancun is home to some of the best beaches in North America. Visiting would mean great food, service, atmosphere, and more in this vacation city.
