‘Earthstock’ Happening Now at UNL

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UNL chapter.

Today, ASUN began a month-long sustainability event. This event is intended to inform students about sustainability and environmental issues.

The event stemmed off of Focus, a week-long event that also centered around sustainability. ASUN rebranded and reshaped the event after Woodstock, the 3-day music festival in 1969.

The opening event, running 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on April 2 and 3, features a carbon footprint display, with additional booths to provide information.

Other events occurring throughout the month include an Upcycle event that allows individuals to create art out of diverted waste material, Bikefest, a screening of “Dirt! The Movie”, Policy for the Plains Political Forum, and an Earthstock Block Party.
