Name: Camille Shaw

Year: Sophomore

Major: Advertising, minor in Photography

HC:  What made you choose your major?

CS: Initially, I wanted to major in Graphic Design or Photography but I didn’t like the idea of being a starving artist so I chose Advertising. I figure I can work in the creative department for a publication eventually.

HC:  What are your future goals, career wise?

CS: In the long run, I’d like to work for a travel magazine. They’d fly me out to exotic far-away places where I’d get paid to photograph different cultures and terrains.

HC:  What clubs/activities are you affiliated with at UNF?

CS: I’m a photographer for the UNF Spinnaker and an Intramural Soccer Champion (two years in a row “woo!”). I also attend weekly yoga classes at the wellness center. The gym is one of my favorite places on campus!

HC: What is your biggest impact you have made at UNF?

CS: I think I’ve impacted UNF the most through the Spinnaker. Photographing the Men’s basketball team through their record-breaking successes this year is something I’m really proud to have done. Getting to the NCAA tournament is a first in UNF history and I feel like I was a part of it since I sat on the court documenting almost every home game. I’ve had 6ft and taller guys trip over me multiple times; I’m pretty proud of that too!

HC:  Who would you pick to be your celebrity wife or husband? Why?

CS: I’d marry Theo James in a heartbeat. Those genes are gold.

My name is Maya Dartiguenave, and I am a senior at the University of North Florida. I'm a communications major, with a focus in public relations. Reading, writing, anything to do with words is what holds my true interest, which is why I'm so happy to be a part of Her Campus! I'm so excited to have started UNF's chapter of Her Campus! While I claim to be a Florida girl for now, my heart belongs to Philadelphia, always. (Go, Eagles!) I hope to move away from Florida after graduation, work my way through grad school, and begin my career in publishing. The future is definitely going to be an adventure, and I can't wait for it!
