How to Keep Your Vision and Reach Your Goals

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UNCW chapter.

Helen Keller once said, “The only thing worse than being blind is having sight but no vision.”

This powerful message is something everyone can incorporate into their lives no matter the circumstance– vision is key to success and progress. Now more than ever, we need vision in our lives in order to see a change in the world that we wish to bring. Here are a few tips on “how to keep the vision” and reach your goals:

1. Define Your Vision

This is the first step to make any change and develop a plan on reaching your goals and things you hope to improve on. Figuring out what your goals are, whether it’s who you want to be, what you want to accomplish, or what you want to see change in, is the first step for any visionary.

2. Be curious

The most successful people in the world were curious through exploring, questioning, and knowledge. Education plays such a huge role when trying to find your vision. Having knowledge creates beliefs and opinions, giving you a sense of self and vision of the world around you.

3. Find your Passion

Passion and inspiration drive the world and individuals to do great things. Channeling your strengths and utilizing them to do good in the world can be an awesome way to voice your opinions and execute your vision.

For example, I have always loved art and graphic design. Through schooling and free time, I know more than ever about the topic and envision to pursue a career after college to put my skills towards helping others and creating a positive environment for the world.

Doing what you love and finding passion through your strengths can open many doors to lead you to accomplishing your vision and goals.

Good luck!
