What do you want to do with your degree?
At this point, I’m not completely sure. I know I want to work for a magazine, specifically writing human interest, feature stories. Writing literary journalism or investigative journalism would be my absolute dream, but I know I have to start at the bottom of any publication to get what I want.
What is your favorite thing about Missoula?
Missoula reminds me a lot of Boise, only smaller. Downtown is like Boise’s north end, where I would spend a lot of my time. I also love the sense of community here and how everyone wants to help. I feel very at home and safe here.
What song could you listen to all the time?
That’s a tough question because I absolutely love a song for a week before I get sick of it. When I’m working on a paper, I’ll listen to a song over and over again until I get it done. The only song I was able to write an entire paper to and didn’t get sick of is “Burning” by The Whitest Boy Alive.
What is your favorite day of the week? Why?
My favorite day of the week is Wednesday because by that time my to do list is getting smaller and I’m looking forward to the weekend.
What is your favorite weekend activity?
I have a few: I absolutely love to sleep in, get coffee and catch up with a friend and cook dinner for someone.
If you could pick any place to visit, where would you go?
That’s a really tough question because I can’t really think of where I wouldn’t want to go. First place on my list would be a tour around Europe – I’ve always thought that there was something so romantic about traveling alone. I know Italy really well, and I want to see more of the continent: first stop, Germany.
What celebrity do you think you are most like?
I can’t think of a celebrity I’m most like in personality, although I get compared to Brittany Snow all the time. If there were a celebrity I could be like, it would be the fictional Carrie Bradshaw from Sex and the City. She is fabulous.
