Campus Celebrities- Theta Xi Fraternity!

This week’s Campus Celebs come as no surprise. When these gentlemen aren’t entertaining the social life down Taylor Street, they can be found cracking jokes and casually hanging out with you during the week. For these reasons and more, who wouldn’t want to celebrate the NEWEST addition to their chapter!? The Theta Xi Fraternity- Gamma Kappa Chapter at UIC initiated 11 new members this past weekend, raising their active member count to over 60 men! Besides having some of the most charming young men in their organization, this fraternity also actively participates with two national philanthropies, Habitat for Humanity and Multiple Sclerosis.

The Theta Xi Fraternity was founded on April 29, 1864 at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York, and the Gamma Kappa Chapter at UIC was founded on March 16, 1991. Theta Xi Fraternity is a national leader in the educational and social development of its members and their successes and diversity have been celebrated by over 60,000 members since 1864. Brotherhood is obvious, and no one can doubt the kinships that these gentlemen share.

Every year the Greek organizations in the Inter-Fraternity Council and the Collegiate Panhellenic Council compete for the title of Greek Week Champions; it happens to be so that Theta Xi has won UIC’s Greek Week for 5 years in a row and this April they will be going for their 6th win! (Good work, gentlemen!)
