Every girl stands in front of her wardrobe thinking the ever present question, “what should I wear today?” Even though she has every kind of clothing from bandeaus to Bermuda’s, she finds it impossible to picture today’s outfit. The answer to this problem is simple reorganization and simplifying your wardrobe.
Let’s start by sorting- You should create three piles. Make a sign if you need to. The first pile is where you will put the clothes you absolutely love and timeless pieces (great jeans, black dress, boyfriend’s hoodie). These are either new articles of clothing or something that contains sentimental value. All of these items have perfect fit and are in good condition.
Your next pile will consist of the clothes that you really loved when you first bought them but realized you’ve never worn it. These might also be pieces with a questionable fit or wear and tear. They are good quality though. After looking through these pieces and possibly trying them on with a friends opinion, sort them into a donations pile or hang in back in your closet.
The last pile will be the outfits that make you think, “was I drunk when I bought this?” It consists of the bad souvenir t-shirts and way-too-short denim minis. Either throw these items out if they are falling apart or add them to the donation pile. Just make sure you learn from your fashion mistakes so you don’t end up wasting money when you stock up on new clothes.
Keep in mind that girls tend to buy clothes of poor quality in order to amass quantity. To look the best, save money, and feel confident buy clothes that fit great and are made well. The best way to know if you are getting the most wears out of your clothing is by keeping your closet organized. This way you know exactly what your options are and how to mix them to complete the best look.
Happy Organizing!
