Need a sweet, tasty treat that’s easy to make? Have a potluck party to attend and want to create something easy, fast, and affordable? Chocolate covered strawberries are the way to go! They are ever so simple to make and taste delicious! If you have a huge sweet tooth like I do, then you’ll absolutely enjoy making these decadent strawberries. The process is super easy that just about anyone can make them by following these simple steps:
1. Pour milk chocolate and white chocolate morsels into two separate heatproof medium sized bowls. (try mixing semi sweet and milk chocolate morsels together to enhance flavor)
2. Microwave each bowl separately for about a minute. Make sure to occasionally stir the chocolate to prevent burning, until completely smooth and glossy. (alternative is to melt chocolate using a double boiler.
3. Wash strawberries and dry using a towel so the chocolate will stick and coat the strawberries evenly.
4. Line a sheet pan with parchment/wax paper.
5. Holding the strawberry by the stem, dip it into the chocolate, lift and twist slightly and let the excess chocolate drip back into the bowl.
6. Repeat with the remaining strawberries and place them onto the parchment paper.
7. Drizzle white chocolate over the chocolate covered strawberries using a fork or a piping bag. (drizzle chocolate over the white chocolate strawberries)
8. Set the strawberries into the refrigerator for about 30 min. or until chocolate completely hardens.
I made these for two Thanksgiving dinners I went to and they were a hit at both parties! Everyone literally could not stop going back for seconds or thirds! I love how simple they are to prepare and they taste absolutely delicious. It’s the perfect combination of sweetness from the chocolate and the little hint of tang/sourness from the strawberries. So if you need a yummy treat for an upcoming party or just feel like indulging in something sweet, I recommend making chocolate covered strawberries! You can’t go wrong with anything covered in chocolate. [:
