4 Reasons Why the Holiday Season is the Best Season For College Students

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UIC chapter.

1. Home Cooked Meals

Dining hall food gets old quick. And while the taste of fast food is significantly better, nothing beats a home cooked meal. Holiday season means Thanksgiving feasts, seasonal cookies, and home cooked meals during winter break all the time.

2. Black Friday and Cyber Monday

When you’re on a budget, you tend to look out for all the sales you can get. Black Friday and Cyber Monday are the definition of savings. You can score big for such a little price.

3. Binge Watching

You finally have a break and you can watch all those shows you lost track of during the semester. There is nothing like some good TV while it’s chilly outside.

4. Sleeping In

For whatever reason, you signed up for that 8am class. Getting up early all semester has drained you and finally, you can sleep in past 10am… Maybe even past noon!

On a daily basis, she can be found making excessive film references and getting overly emotional about superhero TV shows.
