10 Questions Asked Over Thanksgiving Break

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UGA chapter.

It’s inevitable. You are going back home for Thanksgiving break to see your family after being away at college for almost a semester. Even with those weekend trips visiting back home, a week for Thanksgiving will feel like forever away from college. Some of you may have not even been home since saying goodbye to your parents that first day or moving into your apartment before school started. Whatever your situation is, if you are going home, get ready to be grilled by family members about your college life. Here are some of these questions that you have to look forward to.

1. What’s your major?

2. Have you been eating healthy/going to the gym?

3. How is your love life?

4. Are you going to get a job?

5. What do you like to do when you’re not in class?

6. What are your grades like?

7. What are some good college stories you have?

8. Have you made a lot of friends?

9. Where are you living next year?

10. What are you going to do with your life?

Just think about the turkey, stuffing and gravy to get through this. These are questions that we don’t even want to ask ourselves, but when asked just smile and spout out the rehearsed answers you should have prepared. It will all be over soon.
