Summer is right around the corner, and you can feel the summer state of mind all around campus. Two of the best summer trends are maxi skirts and dresses, which can be worn in many different ways. I spotted Megan Disatham, a 19-year-old nuclear and radiological sciences freshman, and fell in love with her cool, teal maxi dress. I especially loved the back design and the way she styled it with a trendy necklace. Read on to learn more about the maxi trend and her inspiration!

Name: Megan Disatham Year: freshman Age: 19 Major: nuclear and radiological sciences What are you wearing? “My dress is from rue21, and my necklace is thrifted.” What are your favorite stores? “I really like more thrifty stores, like Plato’s Closet. I prefer to buy things cheaper.” What inspired this outfit? “My inner mermaid.” If you could raid anyone’s closet, who would it be? “I would raid my friend Erica’s closet. She always has such fashionable clothing from the mall, which I don’t shop at very often.
