Taylor Swift Performance Hinted at MTV VMA Press Junket

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UCLA chapter.

The VMAs have a history of legendary performances and it seems like this year might even include a Taylor Swift and Katy Perry reunion or surprise performance.

At the press junket, VMA pre-show host Terrance J hinted a Taylor Swift appearance this Sunday. When asked about Taylor, he said “You don’t know if Taylor Swift’s going to perform or if someone is going to take her mic. You know Taylor’s going to do something big… anything can happen.”

While nothing is confirmed yet, MTV publicists mentioned they are working on it and hope to have Taylor confirmed soon.

Taylor recently announced her new album Reputation, which will be released on Nov 10. Her first single off the album will be released on Thursday August 24 – just days before the MTV Video Music Awards. Making the historic VMAs a great opportunity for Taylor to debut a new single for the first time or possibly flaunt a new friendship with VMA host Katy Perry.
