7 Accurate Horoscopes Based on Your Starbucks Order

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UCLA chapter.

Starbucks: a company that managed to become successful selling overpriced coffee because it made their drinks fancy and chic. For many of us, the little green logo with a swimming mermaid equates to a cup of bliss. We each have our go-to Starbucks beverage, but did you ever stop to consider what the implications of your fave drink may be? According to the alignment of the stars, here’s what your coffee has to say about you:

 1. Pumpkin Spice Latte

Obviously this most-basic of drinks labels you as a basic white girl. The horoscope declares that those who drink a PSL will meet someone they never expected to encounter, perhaps at a frat party or while walking home from a sorority meeting. This drink screams fall-lover – one of those collegiettes who bundles up in a knitted scarf, rushes to the library and sips the spiced flavors of autumn.

2. Americano

Woah, you’re drinking espresso? What’s your hurry, you need all that caffeine?! Those who chose the Americano will experience serendipitous luck in their career – the kind of job that requires a non-froo froo drink like the Americano. Or maybe you just really love Lady Gaga.

3. Caramel Frappuccino

Or any Frappuccino for that matter. You probably “hate” real coffee but love these sugary desserts (and no one blames you!). These often label you as a young adult at an airport, savoring a special Starbucks treat during a vacation or shopping spree. Your horoscope is that you will regret a missed opportunity today – so try not to procrastinate on your responsibilities or bucket list items.

4. Refreshers

Dude these aren’t even coffee. Why do you go to an expensive coffee house when you could’ve purchased Minute Maid for 1/2 the price? Because you like the Starbucks logo? Or the trendy post-workout/beach vibes associated with this light option? It’s okay. In the future, try not be so concerned what others think of you — the horoscope predicts a positive physical change coming your way.

5. Iced Coffee

These iced coffees look beautifully ombre when milk is added, and they’re often chosen as a late afternoon refresher (same goes for iced mochas or lattes). Maybe you’ve just been out running errands and stopped for a pick-me-up with a simple beverage. You currently have a lot on your plate, which makes you so busy – try to prioritize your schedule and fit in some time for you to relax.

6. Holiday Special

The holiday menu items, like the eggnog and caramel brulee drinks, are high-calorie treats perfect for ringing in the brisk winter season. If you get these items, chances are you’ve been waiting around for a year and now’s your celebrate the snowflakes with a warm peppermint-y drink. You’re likely a generous person, and the horoscope sees creativity in your future, an endeavor that will make you appreciate your loved ones.

7. Bottled frap

Girl, this isn’t even from Starbucks. You’re likely so addicted to Starbucks as a brand that even your to-go drinks need the label. These sugary delights are great for those with busy schedules who can’t wait in line at the shops for days on end. You’re smart and usually in a rush. This week, live in the moment – stop and appreciate the nature and city around you.
