Another spring break has come and gone. A short week of freedom has passed. Whether you were living it up in Cabo San Lucas, traveling throughout Europe, camping in the wilderness, or just sleeping and Netflixing your days away on the comfort of your couch, there’s always a sinking feeling at the thought of returning to school for another few months. Though the weather is warm, the sun is out, and summer is just only a few months away, people are usually stuck in a rut after they return from spring break (especially if you went on a vacation) You may feel demotivated, sluggish, and tired, but no fear, here are some tips to get you back on track!

Think ahead! The passing of spring break means that summer is well on its way! Get ahead of the game and start planning your summer! Apply for jobs, internships, research positions, and also vacations! Doing this will give you something to look forward to, along with the feeling of accomplishment and motivation to do more!

Get active! Join more extracurricular activities, clubs, and organizations. Chances are, you’ll enjoy your newfound activities and that will brighten your mood, force you to participate and meet new people! Getting motivated for school can be a hard thing to do, but if you force yourself to improve your work ethic, it will all pay off for a happy summer, when you will celebrate that rockin’ GPA. Post Spring Break Blues is an issue that sneaks up on you. Don’t let it demotivate you when summer is just around the bend!
