Since I am a “foodie,” I was so excited to attend the Los Angeles Food Festival! My bestie and I put on our fanny packs and hats and got ready for a day in the sun tasting the best LA has to offer.
We spent most of our time focused on the deserts. There were probably 10 different ice cream companies there and even more serving pies, cookies, donuts and more. We were clearly in heaven. We tried ice cream from McConnell’s Fine Ice Cream, Salt & Straw, Stickhouse Gelato, Wanderlust, and more… It came to a point where I could not have any more ice cream, but they were all amazing.
I was also really excited about finally getting to try California Donuts! I personally don’t think it was as good as people make it seem. We tried their blueberry donut and it tasted just like the Dunkin Donut Blueberry Munchkins. I think the hype around California Donuts isn’t really worth it. The donuts were decorated really beautifully, but other than that they taste just like any other donuts.
We ended the day by stopping at the Food Porn tent and watching delicious cooking videos… Nothing could get us out of those cool tents.
I had a great day at LA Food Festival! So glad I got to experience it and live out my foodie fantasy.
