10 Places You MUST Eat at in Orlando

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UCF chapter.

Chipotle and Chick-fil-A are great, but it’s okay to admit that sometimes you crave something new. If you want to do a little urban exploring, or are like me, and are constantly dreaming about food, then this list will be sure to inspire you. Below are ten of the yummiest places to grab a bite at in Orlando.

1. Hawkers Asian Street FareBasically served like Asian tapas, this restaurant serves mini plates of asian street food. This is a great place to come with a group of friends so you can all share various things on the menu. Sharing is always caring. Am I right?

2. Tako CheenaIf you’re looking to channel your inner hipster vibe, this place is a must. This unique restaurant sells Asian infused tacos. In other words, it’s the best of both worlds. Most recommended is the “3 House Tako Special,” so you don’t have to choose between any two flavored tacos.

3. Gringos Locos TacosThere are two locations in Orlando, one downtown, and the other in the milk district. This late night grub spot is the perfect place to go to after a night out. If you drop by, be sure to order the “Double Ds,” a delicious cheesy tortilla wrapped around a crunchy shell. It will not disappoint.

4. Yellow Dog EatsMason jars. Must I continue? This quirky spot is the perfect place to go to on a beautiful sunny day because their outdoor garden seating is extremely cute (and Instagram worthy). The food is mouthwatering amazing, and it’s a guaranteed good time.

5. Black Bean DeliLocated in Winter Park and Downtown Orlando, Black Bean Deli is the best place for cuban sandwiches and other cuban cuisine. While you’re there, you must order the lunch special (its the best bang for your buck). Its also picture perfect, so you’ll be sure to come out with a really cute Instagram picture like at Yellow Dog Eats!

6. The CoopThis house of chicken is the sister of 4Rivers, so you already know its going to be good. This homestyle chicken restaurant is not only coz,y but it also allows you to mingle with other chicken lovers. The hush puppies are always a must.

7. Shake ShackThis beautiful spot overlooks the water, and on occasion you can catch someone paddling by. After you enjoy your juicy fried mushroom burger you can enjoy some ping pong by the lake.

8. Junior Colombian BurgerIf you’re on the lookout for a cultural experience, this place is a must. This is Colombian street food that’s inspired by a fast food restaurant (it will never disappoint). The burgers and hotdogs are topped with potato chips and pineapple sauce, they are to die for.

9. Pho 88If you’re on the hunt for some authentic Vietnamese food, look no further. Located on Mills Avenue, this tasty spot’s specialty is the beef noodle soup. I highly recommend.

10. ToastedThis gourmet grilled cheese restaurant will satisfy your inner 4-year-old. For all the cheese lovers out there, they have a giant cheese periodic table hanging on the wall. Hands down the best thing on the menu is the “As Gouda As It Gets” sandwich, with pulled chicken and smoked gouda.
