Senior Year at UCI Told by the Many Faces of Adele

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UC Irvine chapter.

Hello from the other siiiiiiide!”

June 10-12 is slowly approaching, and you know what that means? If you said graduation, “rumour has it” that you are absolutely correct. After about 18 years of schooling, the dream of many students to graduate from college is becoming surreal – exciting and looming ahead. Many Anteaters will soon be “turning tables” by departing UCI with a diploma in hand and a lot of wonderful, undergraduate memories. To say the least, UCI has been the home away for “someone like you,” so what better way than to recap senior year at UCI with some Adele?

#SeniorYearAtUCI is like:

1. Logging into WebReg and finding out your enrollment window opens on Day 2 of enrollment: #SeniorStatus #StartedFromTheBottomNowWeHere

2. Not having freshman friends that can swipe you into the dining halls anymore:

3. When you log into eee.uci.edu to see your midterm/final grades and you did better than you expected: #goals

4. You still manage to look like this during midterms and finals week:

5. Finding out your class is curved at the end of the quarter: #GPAbooster

6. When someone asks you what your plans are after college: #BeGone

7. Going to the professor’s office hours not because you need help but because you are trying to land letters of recommendations at the end of the year: #sorrynotsorry

8. Looking into grad school programs like: #HelpMe

9. When you successfully submit your graduation application:

10. Find out your friends are picking the same graduation ceremony as you:

11. It is not halfway through the school year but you already started stressing about getting a job after college:

12. When you realize your time at UCI is coming to an end but you are not ready for the real world. This entails no more $2-boba on ring road, buying hummus from the hummus man during vendor fair week, free on-campus student events, swag man sightings, and many more:

13. Despite all the ups and downs you have had during your college career, you are happy to see how far you have come. As you count the days until June, keep in mind that it is your senior year and you still have time to make it count: #classof2016 #zotzotzot
