Fall Fashion

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UCD chapter.
As fall quarter progresses, the weather reminds us that classes have actually started summer is over and, most importantly, it’s time to figure out your fall wardrobe.  At Davis, fashion isn’t really a school-wide interest, but don’t let that discourage you from dressing to impress because you never know who will be sitting next to you in that huge Communication 101 lecture hall.

Here is a cozy, yet casual/chic outfit that is an easy, go-to look whether you will be in lectures all day or studying on campus. First, wear a pair of skinny jeans or pants that are comfy enough to wear all day but still compliment your figure enough to show off that cute butt you have been working on all summer. Then, throw on a baggy, yet well-cut top over a lace bandeau, and step into a pair of your favorite ballet flats or, depending on the weather, boots. Top off your outfit by adding some bangles or a watch and some mascara. If you have time, a light pink, nude, or grey nail polish would be the perfect finishing touch. The colors of fall don’t need to be too dark; beige’s, blacks and greys will obviously look simple and chic, but don’t be afraid to add some color. An infinity scarf will do the trick to add a little spice to the neutral tones of fall. In college, the best look is to be natural and chic! No need to try too hard, but it’s always a confidence boost when you put a little effort into your look.
