Teacher’s Pet?

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UAB chapter.

You’re a college undergrad now, and while bringing your professor a shiny apple to sit on her desk would be a little weird, making sure that your voice is heard in the classroom is not. Do your college professors know you by first name without checking their attendance roll? You should be sure they do! Keep it professional of course, but college is the time to foster good relationships with your professors becuase you never know when you may need their help later. Whether it be a letter of recommendation for a scholarship, a job, grad school, or even bumping your grade up a little. One of the easiest ways to do this and make sure that your teachers know who you are is actually really simple: participate in class! Answer a question! Raise your hand! Be interested in whatever it is you all are learning that day. Your professors will surely take notice.
