What To Wear To Skrillex At The Mullins Center

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at U Mass Amherst chapter.

As most of us UMass Amherst Collegiettes know, electronic dance music was banned from our campus last year. As one of the many students who bought a Pretty Lights ticket the first day I moved in last year, I can say that I am beyond excited to see Skrillex perform on October 23 at the Mullins Center.

Here are a list of the top six things to wear to this concert:

1. Deodorant

Carly Aquilino knows what’s up. No one is too special to go without it at a concert.

2. Glitter

It’s hard to pull it off during the daytime but at concerts, more is more.

3. White shirt

Boys will be drawn to you like moths to a lamp, because white glows in the black light in the Mullins Center.

4. Hair chalk

Now is the time to experiment! You may feel a little bit timid about pulling off a daring color during the weekdays. But at a fun EDM concert, the more color, the merrier. Try ombre-ing your hair by starting out dark and letting it gradually fade. You could personify one of his songs called, “Rainbow Colors” by dying it every color you can find.

5. Wristlet

While you can trust a boyfriend to hold your things for you, this will not complain or embarrass you with his dancing.

6. Smile

If you are too broke to feel like you can go out and buy something to wear for this concert that you do not already have, it literally does not matter at all! The importance of going to a concert is having fun. The Mullins Center is an amazing venue and you will always remember the concerts you go to at UMass, even if you leaving crying before you even see the main act.

Grace is from Lincoln, Massachusetts and beyond excited to be a part of UMass Amherst's chapter of Her Campus. As a senior, she is majoring in psychology with a letter of specialization in social welfare/social work and a letter of specializtion in developmental disabilities and human services. When she is not writing for Her Campus, she is probably joking around with her friends, shamelessly listening to Ariana Grande, or browsing the Benefit and Tarte sections of the Sephora website.
