7 Reasons You Know You Are An Only Child

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at U Mass Amherst chapter.

If you are an only child you know all about the confused looks and judgment that follows when you say you are an only child. Others think we are for sure another species, but in reality we are not all that different. Here are 7 things that all only children can relate to.

 1. Your friends become your siblings

No need for siblings when your have all your best friends by your side.

2. You get your Parents undivided attention all the time

No need to fight for your parents attention, you are automatically the favorite child.

3. And sometimes this can be a little too much

No, mom you don’t need to report a missing child when I don’t answer your phone calls.

4. All your friends automatically assume you are a spoiled brat

Excuse me, I am not a brat!

 5. Your imaginary friends take the place of siblings while growing up.

No I am not talking to myself, I am playing with all my “friends”!

6. You are the center attention of all family Christmas cards

I don’t want to be awkwardly posing by myself..my mom made me do it.

7. You have always been independent, and always will be!

Flaunt your independent, only-child self!
