Do’s and Don’ts for Halloween Costumes

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Arkansas chapter.

Halloween is just a few days away. If you still haven’t picked out your halloween costume, there is still time. Follow these do’s and don’ts and you will be the best dressed at the party.

Do: Go all out. If you dress up only half way, people will most likely not understand your costume.

Don’t: Spend a lot of money on your costume. The chance of you wearing this costume again is very slim, so save your cash for items you will wear more.

Do: A group costume. It’s more fun to gather all of your friends and shop with eachother for your costume.

Don’t: Try to look too sexy. This is one night out of the whole year you can dress up as anything you want without being judged, but don’t take advantage of it too much.

Do: Have fun with the character you are dressing up as! Go to a halloween party, take pictures, and eat some candy!

My friends and I dressed up as the Monsters Inc. characters.
