Carm or Dewick?

Dewick, because I live right behind it.

Guilty pleasure?

Iced apple juice.

Favorite Color?

Blue, hands down.  I always get the most compliments when I wear blue.

If you could be any mythical creature, what would you be?

A werewolf.

What superpower do you wish you had?

I want to have super-sound hearing, but only things that have my name in them. So if it’s about me, I want to hear it.

Have any hidden talents?

Twerking!  Nobody knows I can twerk, but I can.  I am really good at dancing. Behind closed doors, I love to dance.

#1 procrastination activity?

Going through my Twitter TL, my Facebook TL, my Instagram TL…and looking at photos of my brother.

If you make a new Crayola crayon, what would it be?

Hell, I don’t know. That’s what I’d call it: “I Don’t Know”. It would be a color-changing mood crayon.

What are you involved in on campus?

I’m a huge LGBT activist on and off campus. I’m a team leader at Jumpstart and it’s an amazing program. This year I was head teacher and oversaw the classroom and six other core members.

Why Jumpstart?

I like being around kids.  You kind of have to like kids when you’re the oldest of seven. Seeing my parents raise seven kids and still come out on top as great parents made me love children. I want to take care of every child I see.  If I could have them all, I would!

Doing anything interesting this summer?

I will be traveling the country, speaking about LGBT activism.  I don’t have a Queer Studies minor or anything like that, but my other focus is Queer Studies.  I’ve travelled to many states talking to people, telling my personal coming out story, and showing people that my identities can coexist together and be successful. It’s what I love to do.
