I heard you have a pretty cool roommate! I’ve also heard you have become the campus ambassador for a new app. What’s the app called?

That’s funny; no one has ever said that to me before!  But yes, I am the campus ambassador for a new startup app called Tally.

Can you tell me more about Tally? What does the app do and what are some of its features?

I describe Tally as the combination of all of the social media sites we love today including Facebook, Twitter, Buzzfeed, Snapchat, Pinterest, Instagram, and YikYak. There are no followers on Tally and everyone and anyone can post just about anything. As ‘the better newsfeed’ you no longer have to weed through the endless amounts of junk to find the content that actually matters to you. Not only does it eliminate it, but also it fosters the growth of a newsfeed that is enhanced through personalization and interaction. Whether it is through doodling cartoons on pictures, signing your signature, or measuring the reach of your own content, Tally has given the newsfeed back its personality. I could go on for a while about all of Tally’s fun features; you should download the app and see for yourself!

How did you become the Tally campus rep?

I actually saw a posting on Trinity’s CareerLink and decided to apply just for fun!

What’s your favorite thing about Tally?

Do you remember the app Draw Something?!  Well, the people who created Draw Something are the creators of Tally so naturally the drawing feature is included.  You can draw on any and all pictures posted and watch the playback.  It’s essentially like a public Draw Something.  Since there are no followers on Tally, you can comment, draw, or reply with reaction gifs on all content posted on your newsfeed.

Is there anything else the Trinity students should know about the new app and what’s to come?

First, download Tally and test it out for yourself!  Just by downloading the app you will be entered into a random drawing for an Amazon gift card if you screenshot your profile page and email it to me at haley@tally.la by the end of this week!  Also check out the hashtag ‘tallyuptrin’ and see what you can add to it! The official public launch of Tally isn’t until the end of November so this is a unique opportunity for Trinity students to be a part of the startup process and also just a really cool app!
