What To Wear To Your College Classes!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Towson chapter.

So you are all moved into your new dorm, your books are purchased, and your first day of classes is in less than 24 hours.  So far your biggest challenge is what to wear.  No worries we’ve got you covered!

8 a.m. classes:

We know 8 a.m. classes can be a drag, but someone has to take them.  Though waking up before the majority of campus is not the average college student’s idea of fun, at least you can be cute while doing it.  Keep it effortless and comfortable with a pair of boyfriend jeans, an oversized tank with a bandeau top underneath or a fitted v-neck tee.  Make sure to accessorize with a statement necklace, earrings and a few bracelets.  Finish with some comfy and cute slip ons or flip flops.

Try the super cute boyfriend jeans from J. Crew for $98. While they may seem a little pricey, don’t forget to show your college ID for 15%  off!

Noon classes:

By noon most students will be out and about so why not dress to impress?  A colorful maxi dress is the perfect go-to outfit.  Pair your dress with an oversized bag and gladiator sandals to look timeless.  Don’t forget to add a long yet simple necklace with a pair of modest hoop earrings.  Grab your favorite sunshades on your way out the door to complete your look.

Try the style above from Forever 21 for only $24.80.

Evening classes:

The beauty of college classes is you can schedule them around whichever time suites you best.  If evening classes are more your style, why not keep your look simple yet stylish.  Pair a crop top with your favorite skinny jeans.  To add a bit of flair to this look, try a pair of wedge sandals.  Wedges are always a great option because they are easier to walk in than 5 inch heels yet they still add that bit of “oomph” that we all love.

The cute wedges we have pictured are from DSW for $79.95.

Whatever you chose to wear make sure you stay true to yourself; don’t overdo it.  College is a new beginning, so try things that you normally wouldn’t do.  Mix patterns, wear bright colors, try out those new heels that have been sitting in your closet, but most importantly HAVE FUN!
