5 Hot Swim Trends in Time for Spring Break

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Towson chapter.

With Spring Break right around the corner (and summer already on most of our minds), what better way to conquer the cold weather than to start shopping for swimsuits? Instead of focusing on colors and patterns, here are pieces that are not your average bikinis that are available this season.

1. Victoria’s Secret PINK: Caged Bustier Bikini Top $34.50, Cheeky Hipster Bikini $22.50We’ve seen caged backs on crop tops and dresses now this bikini top makes us fall deeper in love with the style (and you can never go wrong with animal print.) But I can only imagine the tan lines this would leave behind.

2. Orchid Boutique: Mandy Teal Bikini Top $52, Bottom: $46Tis the season for bright colors! The teal pairs really well with the bright yellow bow. The bow across the front of the bikini adds another trend that has been very popular this winter, taking this almost traditional bikini top and giving it an unique accent.

EXCLUSIVE: Use the code TowsonBreak at http://www.theorchidboutique.com/ and receive 15% of your order. Offer valid until March 20th.

3. Victoria’s Secret: Beach Sexy Cropped Top $28.50, String Low-Rise Bottom $18.50Never thought you’d swim in a crop top? Well VS has made that possible. You’ll surely be noticed on the beach in these crazy bright colors.

4. PACSUN: Beach Riot Vice Top $101Yet another unconventional top but a little more expensive than the rest. No doubt, you’ll turn heads in this on the beach with it’s unique mesh collar. The pink is a personal favorite; the black accents pull it together really well. It’ll probably leave weird tan marks on your chest though.

5. Target: Polka Dot 1-Piece $29.99This one-piece takes the classic style of a high-waisted bottoms and stitches it together with the bikini top making it a one-piece without looking like something your baby sister or grandmother would wear.

If you’re going somewhere warm for spring break, all of us stuck in the cold are sending you evil glares through the internet. If you’re braving the cold like me, good luck. Movies will be your best friend but online shopping for swimsuits will also help the time go by. Spring Break is only a taste of what we’ll have this summer so…..
