Top 5 Lipstick Colors for the Winter

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Temple chapter.

Matte Dusty Rose

This is probably the safest option that’s still timeless and classy enough to catch the eye. A “your lips but better” color, a creamy dusty rose lipstick looks great on everyone. This shade in matte is feminine and looks dreamy with a cream sweater on cold winter days.

Glossy Cranberry

This is my personal favorite lip look. Cranberry is the ultimate holiday color that looks stunning with some extra gloss on top. It works for any occasion and can be dressed up or down. Love that versatility!

Sparkly Forest Green

I’ve never seen and liked a green lip color until winter 2016. Now I’m obsessed. For the brave at heart, don’t be hesitant to try this look at your next holiday party! Forest green is quintessential for the wintertime, and the sparkly gloss on top adds pizzaz that is unforgettable and super fun.

Glossy Nude

There’s nothing better than a glossy nude lip. It can be dressed up or down, and adds a sexy stripped down element to any winter outfit. It’s fresh, pretty, and makes your lips extra kissable on New Years!

Matte Dark Purple

Vampy purple lips just scream wintertime. A trendy step away from black lipstick, dark purple is seductive without looking trashy. Make it matte to not overdo it, and you’ve got yourself a deep gorgeous pout.
