5 Trends That Prove That the 90s Never Truly Ended

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Temple chapter.

The 90s are back—again. Can we all just agree that the 90s are never really going to end? The era embodied edgy and elegance in perfect harmony, two qualities that are already a challenge to achieve. These fall trends reinstate that 90s style is never going to die.

1. Slip Dresses

Underwear as outerwear seems to be gaining popularity at an accelerated pace. The slip dress, though dainty and delicate, adds an extra layer of badass to your ensemble. Wear alone or with a t-shirt for an aura of effortless cool.

2. Mom Jeans

They’re cute, they’re comfy; they’re mom jeans. When is the last time this style was actually associated with moms?

3. Mesh Tops/Dresses

Layering is truly a sign of the season.  A layer of mesh gives any outfit an alluring touch.

4. Bomber Jackets

Satin bomber jackets are everywhere this season, and for good reason. These comfy jackets often come with details such as embroidered patches or vintage appliques, and can be DIY’d for a unique personal touch.

5. Adidas Superstars

Both cute and basic, these sneakers go with everything.

These trends that once ruled the 90s have survived the test of time. It won’t be a surprise if if they resurge once again within the next 20 years, so why not hop on the trends now!
