Summer is the perfect time to go on adventures – and I definitely plan on going on a lot this summer! Summer 2017 is going to be the best yet! Between work, internships, and anything else that might be going on, it can be hard to go far, but who said local day trips can’t be just as fun?!
1. The Jersey Shore
This one’s an obvious one! You can bet that I’ll be planning several day trips to the beach this summer, and the first beach on my list? Avon by the Sea! This is one of my favorite beach towns down the shore. It’s just so beautiful and there’s a cute little restaurant on the water where the food is to die for.
2. New York City
You can never run out of things to do in the city and even though it may be hot and humid this summer, I still want to check out some of the amazing things that NYC has to offer. Maybe a Broadway show, Central Park, a cool restaurant, or one of the many museums. There’s just so many choices and there’s something for everyone.
3. Country Concerts
I’m a huge country music fan – no shame, and the summer time is perfect for country concerts especially at PNC Bank Arts Center. In my opinion, there’s nothing better than sitting on the grass with some of my best friends and listening to awesome music.
4. Dorney Park
I’ve only been once in my life, but I barely remember it. I love rollercoasters and I’ve been to Six Flags more times than I can count, so I thought I’d change it up a little bit and go to Dorney Park instead.
5. Any parks/reservations for hiking.
I’ve really gotten into hiking recently, and I want to spend a lot of time outdoors this summer, enjoying nature. There’s a double bonus too, because I get to look at gorgeous views and stay active with a little exercise.
6. My backyard pool.
Again, not very far at all, but still a place I’m looking forward to spending a lot of time within the next couple months. I can’t wait to lay on a raft, bask in the sunshine, and maybe even get a nice tan.
7. Europe
It might be a long shot, but I figured I’d throw it on my list anyway. Even if it’s not this summer, one summer soon I’m going to spend my time exploring the beautiful architecture and landscape and amazing culture throughout the various countries in Europe.
Summer 2017 here I come!!
