Kanye West is in the middle of a nationwide tour, performing hits from his latest album The Life Of Pablo, which released earlier this year in February. So when I heard that he was coming to Boston I absolutely had to go, I was a huge fan of his new album and had been a Kanye fan since the college dropout album. I contacted just about everyone I know asking if they wanted to come to the concert with me and finally found some other avid Kanye fans who were interested. We bought our tickets and were all set to go.

The day of the concert I got an email saying that it would start at approximately 10:30 pm with no opening act, how Kanye of him. We made our way over to TD Garden for around 10:15pm and were all surprised to see a line of people wrapped around the side of the building. I couldn’t believe that there was still so many people outside of the building when the concert was starting in 15 minutes! We got in line and thankfully it moved quickly enough that we were inside by 10:25pm. While walking to our seats the crowd started to go crazy so I knew that the show must’ve been starting. We ran the rest of the way and finally made it to our seats in time to see the show start, and let me tell you I wasn’t disappointed. Kanye put on a phenomenal show performing all of his new songs from his latest album in addition to some old fan favorites like “All Of The Lights”, “Mercy”, and “I Don’t Like”.

The entire floor section was empty of chairs so that everyone was walking around and dancing while Kanye was suspended in the air above on a floating stage. He was attached to a rope that came out of the middle of the “stage” that allowed him to move freely around it without falling off. The lighting consisted of mostly of the color orange which also happens to be the color featured on his album art. Kanye had energy the entire time and was adamant about pumping up the crowd by dancing and sometimes even letting just the audience sing parts of his hit songs. All in all the concert was AMAZING, It was so good to see the songs I had been listening to all summer performed right in front of me. We had a great time and it will always be a concert to remember, “I love Kanye like Kanye loves Kanye”!
