8 Reasons Everyone is SO Ready for Spring

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Suffolk chapter.

For collegiettes who are not lucky enough to go to school in a warm area, spring cannot come fast enough. We are so over winter weather here in the northeast. Why, you ask? Well…

1. With snow consistently on the ground since November, we have basically forgotten what sunshine feels like.

2.  Nobody feels cute going to a club/party bundled up in a winter jacket, hat, scarf, and gloves.

First we’re all:

But after five minutes outside…

3. Boots are awesome, but we’re dreaming of sandals after months of this:

4. Stores are teasing us with their spring collections full of shorts and bathing suits while it is still 30 degrees outside.

5. We’ve used the excuse, “but it is so cold out” more times than we can count to avoid responsibilities.

6. Full trees…green grass…blooming flowers…birds chirping…

7. We know that when the warm weather begins, this long semester will finally end.

8. We aren’t trying to get ahead of ourselves, but we know spring quickly turns into summer…
