Meet the newest campus celeb! HC got to catch up with the newly elected President of Alpha Xi Delta. This spunky sophomore not only balances being President, but is also involved in numerous things on campus. There is no doubt that this Education major is a perfect example of an active Hatter! Take a look at what makes her stand out!
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I love playing volleyball, keeping busy by going to the beach, gym, and pool; I enjoy drawing and cooking as well. And of course, who doesn’t love shopping?
What made you decide to come to Stetson?
I felt very welcomed by everyone; there were so many friendly faces. I also really liked that students were names and not numbers because of the smaller population.
How do you balance president of the sorority with everything else?
I’ve always been busy since I was about 14 years old in high school. I worked a job and played volleyball yet still maintained doing well in school. I like having a lot on my plate but I must admit, it can be overwhelming at times and I have to realize that I’m entitled to some time without my phone/email or doing work. When you love everything you do, it’s all worth it!
What are other orgs on campus you are involved in?
I am a member of Florida Future Educators of America, I am a Resident Assistant on campus, and last semester I was a Teacher’s Assistant. I also have a work-study job now.
Describe your perfect guy?
My perfect guy would definitely have ambition and a good head on his shoulders. I love when a guy can make you laugh and more importantly always treat you right. Physically, my perfect guy would be muscular with a gorgeous smile.
Biggest pet peeve?
Texting- it is great for casual conversation but I cannot stand when people try to have a serious talk or disagreement over texting.If you could be any movie character what movie character would you be? Belle from Beauty and the Beast.
What is your perfect vacation?
I have never been to Europe. I would love to go on a spontaneous vacation to different European countries with very few set plans and just explore. It would be cool to just backpack around Europe and spontaneously decide what my next move is.
What do you plan on doing the rest of your time in Stetson?
I plan on being a leader and making the most of my last two years. I’d love to continue meeting new people and really grow as a person through all of the fabulous opportunities I’ve been presented with! I’m also going to keep working hard to graduate with honors like I did in high school!
