1. Delicious Food
Not many college students can call their cafeteria’s food delicious, let alone edible. Every student at St. Olaf should be thankful for what they eat every day! Whether it’s the latest Caf Creation, a vegan cookie from the Cage or the famous Pause pizza, Ole’s are usually munching on some yummy and/or healthy.
2. Nice and Considerate Student Body
Oles take advantage of our safe campus every day. We leave our backpacks lying around, we expect someone to return our lost items, and we’re okay with leaving our stuff in the library for extended periods of time. The “Minnesota nice” we experience at St. Olaf is not exactly the norm, so enjoy it while you can!
3. Beautiful Music
As an Ole, being thankful for the musical talent on our campus is basically a given. With all of the different student music ensembles and clubs, Oles are entertained by a concert nearly every week. Christmas Fest will get everybody in the holiday spirit and hopefully make the road to finals week a little less painful!
4. Caring Professors and Staff
Be sure to thank your professors for being so helpful and caring. Not all college students are on first-name basis with their professors, and they definitely haven’t been invited over to their profs’ houses for dinner and discussion. Being apart of such a tight-knit community is irreplaceable!
5. Lifelong Friends and Connections
Don’t forget to be thankful for all of your fellow Oles! Whether it’s your best friend, your roommate, your lab partner or that random person you smiled at in the hallway today, be thankful for the great people you’re meeting at St. Olaf!
6. SNOW!
Be thankful for the beautiful Minnesota seasons we get to experience! Snow is coming soon and it will be here to stay. Although it can be dreadfully cold, it’s also beautiful and with it comes fun winter activities, hot cocoa and cuddling up next to the fireplace in Fireside. Enjoy!
