Name: Logan Sardzinski
Graduation Year: 2016
Major/Concentration: Chemistry
Favorite place to study: I would say the atrium of Regents (RIP Norway Valley Café) but the undercroft couches are super comfortable, and they’re close to the cage for those late-night coffee runs.
Favorite food: “The Crabby” from the Ole Store is hands down one of the best things I’ve eaten all year.
Favorite movie: It’s between The Intouchables and Lee Daniels’ The Butler right now.
Favorite Winter Activity: Ascending the deathtrap that is an iced-over Thorson Hill at 2a.m. on a weekend—you might as well be climbing Mt. Everest.
Hobbies: I enjoy fiddling around with my camera, but would never call myself a bonafide photographer. I’ve been singing since I was in kindergarten and love being in the St. Olaf Chapel Choir—the contemporary repertoire we perform is a nice change of pace from what you usually hear around here. Without a doubt, Christmas Fest is my favorite time of the school year, as it kicks off the winter season for me
Campus Activities: Right now I’ve been working on an organometallic chemistry publication with Professor Kalyani, and while it’s taken about a year to compile the data, we’re just about finished! In addition, I serve on the executive board for the new St. Olaf chapter of Alpha Epsilon Delta—a health pre-professional honor society that’s coming to campus in the next year.
After St. Olaf I would like to: After I graduate, I hope to complete dental school and open my own practice. I’m unsure where I’ll end up, but I feel like I’d fit in somewhere on the West Coast.
Proudest Moment/Greatest Achievement: I’m excited to have the opportunity to travel to Peru this interim, where I’ll be participating in the Peruvian Medical Experience for a month of clinical work within indigenous and impoverished communities.
What you want the ladies of St. Olaf to know: Chris Hager has not been to a dentist for 1.5 years, just so you know.
