Fall Concert: Girl Talk

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at St Olaf chapter.

This past Friday, October 7th, MEC (Music Entertainment Committee) presented St. Olaf with a special treat: Girl Talk for Fall Concert. (See Taylor’s Tunes article: http://www.hercampus.com/school/stolaf/taylors-tunes-girl-talk ). The crowd seemed in sync with the music.

Oles come to hear the artist play!

The concert was almost a “no go.” Previous to Girl talk, the opening band, Family Fortune was found smoking pot in a stairwell, which set off a fire alarm that caused an evacuation prior to the show. Luckily, the Pause was given an “all clear” and students were allowed to re-enter shortly after. As per usual, the show went on!

Concert goers still had a great time, however, despite the minor setbacks.

The show concluded with confetti released from the ceiling – a true celebration!
